“No Seconds” - a series by Henry Hargreaves that recreates the last meals that were served to inmates on death row (Source: Dripbook)
Reblogging not purely for food, but for my fascination with serial killers, death, murder cases and forensics.
Fun fact: Ronnie Lee Gardner was the 3rd and last person ever to be executed by firing squad in the US since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976. (FUN FUN FACT: All 3 firing squad executions took place in Utah!) Although now “banned” in Utah, this method of execution remains an option for death row inmates who were convicted prior to 2004. There’s actually a Utah death row inmate right now named Michael Archuleta who’s seeking death by firing squad over lethal injection for his execution this spring. What is it about Utah that makes everyone want to get shot 4 times in the chest?
FUN FUN FUN FACT: The firing squad is consisted of 5 men: 4 with live rounds, 1 with a blank. This way, nobody knows whose shot actually killed the inmate. Whatever helps you sleep at night!
I get too excited over this stuff.
